Privacy Policy

How We Handle Your Information

ArkenSites is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Effective date: August 14, 2026

Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

The only place this website asks for your information is the contact form. When you submit it, we receive whatever you chose to enter:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address and phone number
  • Your business name, if you provide one
  • The type of website you are interested in and how you heard about us
  • Any questions or comments you write in the message field

We do not sell products through this site, we do not have accounts or logins, and we do not run a newsletter. If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence in the same way.

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, ours records basic technical information about visits — the pages you view, roughly how long you spend, the site that referred you, your approximate location (city and region, worked out from your IP address), and general device and browser details. This is aggregate traffic data used to understand what people find useful; it is not used to identify you personally.

Our web server, our content delivery provider and our contact-form service also record IP addresses in routine logs. We use those to keep the site running, to protect it, and to limit abuse of the contact form.

How We Use Your Information

We use what we collect to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and discuss the work you are asking about
  • Provide and support the services you engage us for
  • Understand which parts of our website are useful, and improve them
  • Protect the site and our contact form from spam and abuse
  • Meet our legal obligations

We do not send marketing emails to people who have only used the contact form, and we do not add you to any mailing list without you asking.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • With the service providers that operate parts of this website on our behalf — see Third-Party Services below
  • When you have asked us to, or given clear permission
  • Where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights and safety
  • In connection with a business transfer or merger, if that ever happens

Data Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit, our servers are kept patched and monitored, and the contact form is rate-limited and validated before anything reaches us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise — but we hold very little about you in the first place, which is itself a deliberate part of how this site is built.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to tell returning visits apart from new ones. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; this site will continue to work normally if you do.

For more on how Google handles the data it collects here, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Third-Party Services

A few third parties necessarily see some information when you use this site. We have kept the list as short as we reasonably can:

  • Cloudflare — provides our DNS, security and content delivery, so it handles every request to this site
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — the privacy-focused challenge that protects our contact form from bots
  • Google Analytics — website traffic measurement
  • Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox as email

This site also links to other websites, including those we have built for clients. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we would encourage you to read their policies.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Opt out of any marketing communication
  • Complain to a data protection authority

To exercise any of these, email us at arkensites@gmail.com. Because we hold so little, in most cases honouring a deletion request simply means deleting an email thread.

Children's Privacy

Our services are aimed at businesses and are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date at the top.
